Cold chain, domestic shipping and stability

Lyophilised material in transit
Freeze-dried peptides are far more stable than their reconstituted forms. Sealed under inert conditions, they tolerate ordinary transit temperatures for short periods without meaningful degradation.
The risk grows with time and heat exposure. A parcel that spends two weeks in international transit and customs queues accumulates far more thermal stress than one that moves domestically in one to three days.
Why we hold stock domestically
All Basic Tides inventory is warehoused inside the United States. Parcels move by USPS Priority Mail, which keeps the transit window at one to three business days nationwide, with no customs stage and no import delay.
Orders verified before the 2pm Eastern cut-off are packed and dispatched the same business day, in insulated packaging appropriate to the season.
Storage after delivery
On receipt, lyophilised vials should go into refrigerated or frozen storage according to the handling notes supplied with the batch. Long-term stability data belongs to the published literature for each compound; our documentation covers identity, purity and provenance, not use.
This note describes analytical documentation only. Materials supplied by Basic Tides are for in-vitro laboratory research only — nothing here is guidance for use in humans or animals. For the underlying framework, see our research standards.
